Martha Lazari
My name is Martha Lazari and I love art and the joy of creation.
I generally enjoy creating with my own hands. Handcrafting jewelry or small works of art, restoring furniture, decorating objects and cultivating earth.
Whatever I do, I give my best and put all my “meraki” into it. I have a never-ending thirst for learning; I am constantly training in what interests me and constantly learning new things. Also, I love travelling and collecting things and impressions from the places I visit.
The name Myrtofyllo derives from the design of a specific and beloved Greek macrame knot.

Greek tradition and history, along with the natural environment, are mainly the sources of inspiration for my creations.
I come from Lefkada, Greece. It was there that as a child I was introduced through the elder women to the fine arts of embroidery and knitting. Although as an adult my professional activity had nothing to do with art, I continued to create and engage in various related activities in my free time. On 2009 I started my three-year studies at the Cultural Center of Marousi with courses in arts, batik, puppet and fine jewelry. At the same time I completed various seminars on these subjects. In 2012 I continued my lessons in fine arts with Mrs. Eleni Tsifaki while I started my three-year studies on macrame at SEN Kifissia. Since 2015, I am mainly involved in the art of knot tying (macrame) both as a teacher and an artist. At the same time, I pursue education next to my teacher Katerina Spyrou.
As a teacher I enjoy imparting both my knowledge and my passion for this art. As an artist I enjoy creating unique pieces that exude simplicity and tranquility.
